Well, my analysis, the poor showing of SE smartphones, and the lack of network support of many models, are the two leading issues that are detracting from the claim that SE are a global leader in mobile phone solutions.

I think if you live in many parts of Europe, you would have a much better slant on the title of this thread than if you lived in say India (cheap edge support).

So I'm prepared to admit that the phones from SE in the next year could make or break SE in terms of the discussion topic.

However I still can't see any phones from other oems I'd buy over the P910 or K700i/S700i. If I lived in a country with cheap edge, I'd have to use a Z500 (6mb memory, vga cam video, no radio) or S710 (both edge, triple band, z500=850Mhz S710=850Mhz) but only for GSM 850MHz, or the Z1010 or V800 for a country with umts. Apart from the Z500, all those phones are pretty nice handsets. There are probably a nokia or two in the edge range of handsets more attractive an option than the Z500 though, that is a bit disappointing.

with the release of n90 what do you have to say ? the truth is se were never in lead and probably will never in coming 8-10 years

saying SE has taken the lead is way too premature. It is more of whether SE can even keep up and not get left behind.

I wont be supprise if N90/N70 are released before K750/W800.
And by the time K750/W800 comes on to the market, Nokia may have announced next gen of super phones.

the K750 is coming out at the end of april begining of may.
W800 begining of september VS N91 Q4.

SE will annouce new phones during Q3-Q4.

For a new company like SE, its achievements in a short span of time is really commendable. Give them some time folks. Bringing out a new phone like every week isn't possible for a smallish company like SE. Also, i don't think market share will be much of a concern for the head honchos at SE. They're looking to consolidate. Market share can follow suit.

What I meant was for SE to continue to keep its position at the last few positions in the ranking.
