I dont think SONY would allow this type of deal...
Am pretty sure they will buy Ericsson share if things go bad..
They are interested in Smartphone business [Hint- Tablets S1,S2]

Unlikely to happen, ie, Amazon going for SE. Sony WILL FAIL utterly if it were to buy Ericsson out and go it alone.

Sony lacks the insight it once had and is afraid of taking risks. To top it all, they will overprice their phone way more than SE's.

XPERIA Volvo? LOL. Move on, guys.

XPERIA Play might come to Japan as part of DoCoMo winter 2011 collection along with a Gingerbread-running droid codenamed Nozomi. This mysterious smartphone could be the first Sony Ericsson phone with HD display (i.e, 1280 × 720). Release date is quoted as of Nov 2011 but it's tentative.

Source.

Will check later on.

3D sweep panorama will also be part of the 2.3.4 upgrade - some sample 3D pictures here:

Neo V is pretty smart. Hopefully cheaper and not so similar spec wise to arc

edit. sorry, I meant now it doesnt look identical to arc spec wise (which is good)

It's identical to the Neo except with a 5 megapixel camera instead of an 8 megapixel camera, no Exmor R sensor but it retains Autofocus. No Xenon flash, same old LED.

I guess this would make it a bit cheaper, but seems a bit of a strange model to me, perhaps a model to replace the original X10 in terms of pricing.

It's good to see them 'attacking' the market the way they are doing. I'm just wondering if they have the resources and capital to sustain the supply.

Hopefully the consumer will like and buy their phones.
