Is the Sony Exmor R that Expensive???
I though NEO was alreday Cheaper in some European Markets??

will Neo V be Cheaper than Ray? or Similar Price ?

Neo V should have been the NEO first of all..

A new phone and some great news about our latest Gingerbread Update

We have been having a lot of questions regarding the update for our 2011 Xperia™ phones to the new Android 2.3.4 version. And we are happy to tell you that today we announced that the 2.3.4 version of Gingerbread platform for all the 2011 Xperia™ Smartphones will start the roll out during October at select markets.

Some of the features you will get from this update are:

- Google Talk with Video Chat for smartphones with front-facing cameras
- Updated Facebook inside Xperia™ functionality for enhanced like, share and discover abilities. We have talked
about Facebook inside Xperia™ on previous posts.
-Xperia™ smartphones introducing world’s first 3D sweep panorama functionality powered by Sony.
- The software upgrade will enable consumers to turn their Xperia™ smartphone into a mini-mobile PC by connecting USB peripherals (mouse, keyboard or game controller) to Sony Ericsson LiveDock™ multimedia station. Connect the smartphone to a TV via HDMI to get a big screen experience.
- Swipe text input – text input by swiping the finger from one letter to the next
- Screen capture – allows the user to share a screen grab from anywhere in the phone

According to Se's site, the neo V also has some sort of 3D display:

Straddle the peaks. Dive into the depths. Make your breathtaking mountain panoramas look, well, breathtaking. Select Sony’s 3D Sweep Panorama and catch the scene. Now amaze your mates and show it on a 3D TV.
No 3D TV? No problem. See your photos come to life on the multi-angle 3D display.

Accourding to Gsmarena
Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V (it’s the Roman numeral five, not the letter v) was introduced with 5mp DUE to shortage of Exmore R 8MP lens .

Sony Ericsson has some difficulties manufacturing the 8 megapixel camera sensors since the tragic earthquakes in Japan and that's most probably why the neo V is supposed to replace the previous neo.
