ang mumura ng telepono nila!!
RUIM - Removable User Identity Module.
This depends entirely on the handset and the operator.
What's interesting is that RUIM cards could also contain GSM subscriber information.

Speaking of UIM it needs Smart Card reader/programmer and UIM protocol or any equivalent Cryptographic Smart Card Software Development kit, it’s a hard-core stuff.

re "supercharge EVDO"
apparently, it's not a standard at all. it's just compression software to make browsing experience appear good in benchmarks.

re SuperCharged EVDO
Of course, it’s an added features, the faster the data rate goes (guaranted to be 2Mbps) the higher the price.

When you say Compression I assume your referring to the DATA throughput. Compression is a combination of hardware & software, & its not just make browsing experience appear good in benchmarks it better be good as advertised!

ONE: I'm saying that it's not a technical standard. It's a marketing ploy for customers to pay extra for something that is supposedly faster.*
TWO: It's actually a proxy/compression server service. Customer think s/he's getting increased throughput, when in reality they're not.*
Here's what
one person from evdoinfo thinks about it.
* as it is a proxy service too, you can feel improved performance when browsing from your network's cache.
of course.
