i went from a P910 to a K750 and i wouldnt go back now, yes the Pxxx are amazing phones and do just about everything but i just need a phone that takes pictures, calls and sends sms so the k750 is perfect. The P990 just doesnt interest me at all so wont even think about switching back

More like switching from a Hummer to a sporty two seater.
Good analogy. Which is why I wonder about those who buy smartphones and then "discover" that its not for them. If you dont need the power and traction of a Hummer; why buy one? Again, if you have a family of 5; why buy a sporty 2-seater if you don't already have a family car?

What about ex the new Qtek (8310 or 8100)...? Have anyone tried one of these (or maybe even earlier versions)
In my opinion they can everything the P9xx can except touchscreen - am I wrong?
So: Do people miss the touchscreen after a change from P9xx to ex a Qtek when they use the calender etc?
The reason I ask is that I'm tired of the BIG P9xx and had so much hoped for a new smaller version...

Ok, after what everyone has said, and especially after the latest pictures I have seen of the P990

, I have decided to get it. If I try to leave the P-series, I know I'll be missing the touchscreen, full web browsing, keyboard, and all of the smartphone software functions (and how cool it is). So many people tell me how awesome my phone is everytime I use it. Plus it is so unique, as I've never met anyone that has one or ever seen anyone using one. So now that I am starting to like the looks of the P990, I will just have to wait forever until it comes out... Thanks everyone for your opinions and helping me make the right choice!

I went from a T68 to a P800 two years ago, retiring my old Psion Revo in the process, and after the first week with that phone I knew I'd made the right decision and would never go back. None of the newer non-smartphone's I've seen since have convinced me otherwise.
Upgraded to a P910 this week, and very pleased with that too - best improvement (for me) being the bigger memory and Pro Duo for music. Yes, the W800 etc have all that as well, but they can't edit a spreadsheet, and they don't have Opera.
It makes me laugh that in the UK, over the last couple of weeks, Tmobile have been pushing their "new" Web 'n Walk thing - just imagine, the actual internet on your phone! I had that two years ago with the P800, and the P910 with Opera is still the best mobile browsing experience in my opinion.
In a year's time, when my contract on the P910 is up and the P990's had time to drop in price, I'm sure I'll get one... here's hoping they'll already have announced the P1010 by then

I start to use p-series about 2 years, p800 > p900 > p910, last week I bought a second hand v800 coz I am get bored on symbian interface, but finally I use back P910

, because I miss the big screen / keyboard(when reply sms or email it is hard to do it on regular phone) / real html web browsing / touch screen(write more fast) / IM (java im is not that good) too.
