@goldenface: It's the MYMobileTV model, very basic phone sans some of the most common features but with a relatively large screen and an attena. Check it out on GSMArena.

TV sounds good according to the comments, Iwould like to be able to watch the tv in landscape mode too - maybe you can.
I wonder how
will deal with this, probably by tilting the handset on its side - like a cam viewer, rather than by having a rotating screen.

Me too.
I think it will be a hit, especially if the price is right. Donning your headset and dipping into to mobileTV to watch the football or get the latest headlines is a good idea.

Ya I also don't like this so called mobile TV. They should call Cell Internet TV.
It would be better if they do if like FM reciever such that the Cellphone have the TV reciever.

i would imagine it would function very similar to IP Tv, i know vodafone and a few other majors such as Cisco are looking into it at the moment. It's basically live Tv streaming, much like the BBC are currently doing with the england matches.
It's all done over IP address rather than just picking up a random signal, so there's a lot more control over which content you can and can't recieve.
I would think this is how digital will go in the next ten years.

This makes sense as it means the programming you receive is not network dependent - i.e prone out outages or weak coverage.

that's pretty cool then, from what i read a few months ago it was going to be ip based because of 3g/hspda relying heavily on an ip structure.
but dvb-t would actually be much better.
but i worry about the costings on that. wouldn't ip tv be cheaper in the hardware side of things?
