i can only hear it with my speakers up full blast (they arnt the best speakers in the world but are still powerful).

I have quite an expensive Hi-fi and even with it on full blast I cannot hear this noise. I can just hear it using my phone when the volume is on max. So does the phone use something different for audio?

I don't know what frequency it is but they played it on the radio the other evening and I could hear it and I am definitely not a teen.
