The file far_45400000_00B00000.raw is a great different to fs.bin (ssw).
Why?
Read memory region take the mistake (backup)
Fs region has added security
Some patchs are needed
DCU-60 cable

Since we can back up MAIN and FS via FAR manager... this can be saved as .RAW files right?

But when writing MAIN & FS via FAR it needs .BIN files so that we can use the BABE (ssw) file...

Now the question... How can we convert the extracted file .RAW to .BIN file so that we can re-encrypt it back to the phone using FAR althroughout.

i saw in an earlier post that the S700 should have CID29 and the service cable in order to use FAR on it. DCU-11 is clearly not supported because it cannot even be used to flash a phone's firmware. however, i browsed the internet and found this site and saw that you can modify the DCU-11 so that it can be used to flash the phone's firmware. now my question: is it possible to use the DCU-11 with FAR if it is modified?

yes, it's theoretically possible. since FAR only works with either a DCU-60 cable or a 'service cable', we can tweak the DCU-11 so that it will become a 'custom service cable'. interested to know how? see the link to the modded DCU-11 site. P.S. special thanks to Grawp for showing us how.

note: i still have to try this, as i don't have a DCU-11 yet, but i'm planning to buy one in the next few days...

I have got a new w800i..I bought in Germany and now I am trying to change the firmware in order to have an Italian w800i...but before doing it I want to make sure that I am changing the original FW with the correct one...
could please someone tells which firmware I should use to have the Italian (T9, menu)?

btw is it possibile to have different languages to use with text messages (I would need English, Italian and Spanish).

Hi,

I have a cid29 k700i and have latest firmware files found in topsony. Do I need to make a "cid29 to cid36" step first? Or can I flash the cid26 files directly?

If I need to do the 29 to 36 step, how could I do that? Any guide out there?

And by the way, when I intend to flash the MAIN file to the phone, SEFP says:

image at: 4400 000 Len: 00D3 0FE0

In some places I have seen other values. What values should I put for MAIN and FS for k700i?
