i think people are confusing WiFi and Bluetooth ! If you want to use WiFi it has nothing to do with Bluetooth ! In Sys Prefs > Sharing > Internet, from the drop down menu choose where your computer is getting the internet from, in my case I'm getting it from my my Ethernet cable, so choose Ethernet .. then in the box below it you choose AirPort so then the P990 will pick up the signal from your Mac's AirPort card .. of course if you have an AirPort base station then you can connect the P990 directly to it without the Mac

I think this by far the most naive statement I have ever seen on this forum. I think you are the one confused. There is no one here that has mistaken BT and WiFi and I can not see where you draw this conclusion. In short, your statement is pretty myopic, and sophomoric.

The problem is that Apple has not implemented SNYCML in iSync for UIQ 3.0. To date there is NO way to use iSync and the P990, nor the M600i.

Can you verify this or is this wishful thinking.

Also- i have a problem with WiFi between the 2 devices.. My P990i connects to the MacBook's router, but everytime i try to browse in the Web, it just tells me 'Cannot Locate.....' and similar errors.. has anyone been through this? (i've asked for help for the WiFi in a wifi problem thread, but no-one answered..).. Thank you.

Disabling WLAN power saving is the shit. After 24h on the web searching for solutions I found this solution on a forum.
I made a new WLAN account and called it "power saving disabled" where I disabled WLAN power saving. Using this account to cannect to my Airport base station (the old model) everything works.

there is no need to do that...

when on the Internet Accounts page, select your network, click on WLAN setup and the Advanced....disable powersaving

anyone have a solution for this?

when i send my iCal events (i.e Gigs, Flights, Bills) etc, it puts everything in the Unfiled section of the calander on the p990.

how do you move them into your own created folders on the phone???

i cannot find a way so far....

My mistake. I misspoke. The problem is not with Apple but with SE. They have not implemented SyncML over BT or over IR. It does not matter what Apple does, as long as SE does not implement this in a f/w update, there is no way to sync a UIQ/Symbian 9.1 phone with iSync. No way at all. SE already says that it is Apples problem. Go to: http://discussions.apple.com/[....]jspa?messageID=3389429#3389429 to see the full discussion. SE is blame dispersing on this and you the customer pay for it. My M600i is going up on ebay and I am buying a Nokia E61. To hell with SE. I hope they fold.
