I have been using the M600 for 2 months now. My only gripe is that I can not find a way to save email attachments to my memory stick without first having to view it.

This is a problem when the excel spreadsheet is large and the phone doesnt have enough memory to view it but I would still like to save the file onto mem card to put onto laptop. (Laptop's IR is broken and has no bluetooth or internet access)

...and presumably you don't sync your M600 email with your pc?

what about dialling up from pc through the M600 to get your email with its attachment?

you're right though, the "send attachment" function should also provide the ability to send it to the memory stick

My one wish is that SE would support the M600i on the Mac platform but they have said that they will not. With that being the case, I am no longer purchasing any SE products. While Nokia is not my first choice, I can at least get a native data syncing option and support from them. Anyone in the market for a 2 month old M600i? If not it goes in the draw, and N95 here I come.

With this firmware release (R9A002) I descovered a new serious bug.
I have the @ assigned to sound recorder.

The recorder often crashes and I have to hold the poweroff button for 10s.

It's not possible to record a conversation if you are using handsfree.

In addition to the above smaller annoying buggs are taunting me.

Sometimes the sound is not relayed to the HBH-DS970. When transfering the sound the message is "there is no sound to transfer"

Sometimes the volume goes crazy.
Max volume gives me 0.01% volume. (you might be able to here something in a silent room) This is regardless of what sound device you are using. Reboot the phone is fixes this issue, but I reboot my m600i 5 times a day now and it takes minutes to get back.

Previous releases fixed many issues, but there is still a long way to go before m600 is really reliable.

So WTF are they taking so long to sort it, we've paid our money and S\\E are doing FA that is just not on. If you buy anything anywhere that don’t work properly then it get taken back and exchanged for one that does or a refund, I cant see how S\\E are allowed to get away with selling inferior goods & us mugs are buying them and sitting there waiting for slack arse S\\E to sort it out

@ nokevin - just what is it that you want them to sort out?

I'm really puzzled by your posts because, in my experience of the last couple of weeks, the M600i is a neat, usable, fast, stable bit of kit. It has some minor quirks, but nothing worth getting upset about. I'd be really interested to hear what, specifically, you're having trouble with just to see if we're really talking about the same phone

For the record, here are the bugs I've found:

1. If you use the "store username and password" feature in Opera, it takes ages to start the browser next time. Clear the stored data and say "no" whenever it asks, and it opens a lot quicker (although there's still a few seconds pause).

2. The "add to contacts" feature tends to want to add everything to contacts, including numbers already entered in contacts - I just turned this off.

3. Contact pictures get progressively messed up and pixellated when used. No cure, just an irritation they need to fix.

I'm probably forgetting a couple of things so minor I can't even think of them, but that's really just about it... don't get me wrong, I expect them to fix this stuff, but I can't get upset about it.

well im not upset as you put it, im just pissed off that I paid €450 for non branded top end phone that locks up and I have to remove the battery to sort it, every time I do a back up and a reset to factory setting to try and get the piece of shite working better I have to put all the voice commands back in, the push email only pushes when you switch the phone on and off, it restarts in the middle of a call for better performance (that’s a joke) I could go on but cant be bothered. I don’t mind paying top money for top end goods but this is not top end, me Dad used to say

"You only get what ya pay for"

Ive paid for it and not got it

S\E should, seeing as they are selling inferior goods put something on there web site stating that the phone is still under development and does not work 100%, I bet if they did they would have sold any

your phone is faulty. "restarts mid call" i cant believe you haven't taken it back?

instead you fill this forum with anti m600 posts and put people off what the majority view as a first rate phone. sort your (mobile phone-)life out!

If my phone behaved anything like what you've described I wouldn't put up with it either, but what confuses me is that it's nothing like that - in two weeks I've never seen this "restarted to improve performance" message, and I've only managed to crash it once (the first day I had it). I'm on Vodafone firmware which is apparently some way behind the generic build, but the only faults I can find are those listed above.

If I were you I'd be severely tempted to just take your phone back and exchange it - or have you tried that already?
