GOwin,
I forgot to include those under Technical Support Group. Wala rin silang matinong sagot. Ok.
I try to call them last month pa, to consult this problem, kaso the same answer ang nakuha ko katulad ng sa Customer Rep. Kaya they are totally the same....

that is why I didn't call CS anymore, sabi ko nga diba i talked with Technical Support.
these are the techies who does the things in the back-end.
I have emailed my contact inside globe to inquire inquire on this, since she's a supervisor there I guess she'd know more or at least ask someone who knows more than the CS reps.
ciao

TechSupport = CS reps? no way! Tech unfortunately, doesnt know how to communicate. CS reps doesn't know the answer if they dont have their kodigos with them

anyway, what was your problem when you called TechSupport?

Hi There mga kabayans!
I'm Pinoy working in Singapore, I'm using my GPRS for more 3 months now. Gusto ko sanang i-setup ang e-mail. Ang cell ko ay MobileOne pero I want to setup my e-mail sa kalabang network naman which is Singnet. Posible kaya ito. By the way nakapag WAP naman ako over GPRS ng walang problema and I actually attached my Singnet e-mail account sa MiWord(MobileOne WAP site) at nababasa ko naman, pero using MiWorld at hindi sa E-mail(Message)
Please help!
Thanks
Roberto
Ingat kayo diyan. Dito sa Singapore very safe kahit magtxt habang naglalakad.

Beatrix,
I surf/email/etc. on my Cassiopeia via T68. Send me a private message if you want information. If you're interested in doing it with a Palm OS device, GOwin would be the best resource yata.

To Beatrix:
You're welcome. I just want to help. You know, Gowin is right. We are getting out of the subject you started for with this thread. With due respect to everybody, I hope you can start a new thread on Technical topic about PDAs. Unless of course, you or anybody has anything else to say about the original thread subject.
To Luwi, Gowin, GPRS:
Gowin has started a thread on sms thru gprs, hope to read from you there.
To Gowin:
I have a private message for you, please read.
To all Kabayan Posters:
Luwi started a thread on Pinoy posters, hope to read from you there. We can discuss local matters (problems on Philippine setting).
To all participants to this thread:
My most sincere apology if this may sound impolite.

the statement is misleading. It probably should be: "The Telco's
equipment supports SMS over GPRS, but they have chosen not to implement[activate]it because "malulugi" sila
Got a chance to talk with a techie from Globe. Confirmed that their network is "ready" for SMS over GPRS but is not actually being implemented yet.
ciao

Pinoy talaga! Technology has come a long way in Pinas. How encouraging!
Living in NY for 15+ years -- visited Manila last year. Had the best time!
Nothing to contribute to your discussions, except to say how enthused I am about the progress.
Later...
