I'm still looking into getting one of these to swap with my M600i on days when I'd like music. Vodafone have offered it to me for £50/£80 upgrade on 12/18 month recommitment, but with the inevitable branding that the handset will have, I'm tempted to go simfree instead.

Can anyone comment on using the W950i and the HBH-DS970 yet? How much playback time are you getting and other related info i.e. music formats and bitrate encoding, phone calls, etc.

I'm in the Philippines at the moment and will be going to Manila for a few days next week. Gonna swing by Green Hills and see if anyone has stock yet. If anyone knows already (along with the price) please let me know!

Thanks guys!

Well after walking around all of the cellphone shops, found the one at Villa Mall, Green Hills that has the W950i in stock!! They want P30k, which at the current exchange rate is £326.

Can someone (possibly Sainty) confirm if the VF W950i is gonna have branding on it (however slight ala the P990i)?

I'm in Manila till early Thurs morning, so got a few days to decide.

Does anyone have any firm dates when this is out on a UK network? Does any one know any online shops that do a SIM free version (non-botched software) on a contract?

Thanks,

Any chance you can list your firmware version?

I'll post mine up later when I get home. That way, we can figure out if O2 have applied any branding to their handsets (if at all).

Thanx.
