It seems that card speed has nothing to with lag because people have lag with ordinary and ultra II Sandisk.
How about 2 Gb extreme III compared to ultra II and ordinary Sandisk?
If there is no difference between the above it has to be FW/HW related.

I did a new try on my phone and now the recording on the internal disk is very good. No lag at all. This is after i did a format of the internal disk and updated the phone one more time. BUT, still the is a big lag on the external disk

Saw a posting from another site regarding the speed of the memory... if I remembered correctly, the difference in speed is dependent on how the memory stick is being formated. Formating performed by the phone will result in faster speed but smaller storage capacity, while formating from a PC will result in slower speed but higher storage capacity. It has to do with how the file structure is defined.

It looks like how the memory is being formatted played an important role in the access speed ... which does sound logical.
