I had a few 'experiences’ with my predecessors to the P990...

Firstly my first P900 went in the washing machine on a 40 degree wash. I think I turned it on too quickly as it never worked again... thank god for insurance!!! But I did drop it’s replacement several times and it never gave up on me.

Then my two week old p910 went through a second floor window into the garden below... Although I never found the Stylus again, as soon as I put the battery and Mem card back in, it worked fine. This phone also went through a wash. (probably helped get the garden out of it ). This time I took it to bits and used the misuses hair dryer on it, left it for a couple of hours and as soon as the screen was looking back to normal, I reassembled and it worked fine – although battery life had been effected. What eventually killed this one off was going around a round about too quickly on a hot summer’s day with the windows down – DON’T LEAVE YOUR PHONE ON THE DASHBOARD!!!.

Thank god for insurance… As it’s replacement has suffered some abuse and still works fine…

I think I’ll try and take the P990 swimming and see if SE have got this one even more water proof… The silicon phone condom can act as arm bands…
