Seeing him dead anyway would go some way to providing closure for the relatives of all those people he gassed to death.

I don’t think he should be given any respects, after what his done. Telling his follows to fight to there deaths and then him giving up without a fight from his little hole.

Was he supposed to fight the US army with his bare hands?

He was sabre-rattling for years, threatening everybody with weapons and gassing people and telling his army to fight to the death - then look where he was found - hiding in a hole like a hamster!
They should put him back in that hole and fill it in.
