Anuj,

I don't think the P990 will work with the BMW BT. I have a 7-series, which has just had the latest software upgrade for all the car's computers, and it doesn't support many SE phones. BMW fall down in a big was on mobile phone interfaces.

Yep, I totally agree with you. The BMW BT system is very tempremental!

I have an 06 535d Sport and my Nokia 8800 works absolutely fine with the Professional Sat Nav System with BT but on some BMW forums no one believes that my 8800 works as theirs do not.....could also have something to do with firmware versions of the phones.

I've still not checked my P990 with it - will do tonight and let you know - it's quite unlikely though.

if you still haven't bought p990i, you have no idea what you are missing. Even with all the reboots, software issues, i can gurantee that you will still be very impressed with this beauty!

Hope your enjoying it Anuj. I got mine 3 day's ago on Orange. I have not installed Swiss Manager yet and I haven't had a restart yet!! So far loving it.
You guy's BMW bluetooth systems sound crap. It can't be the phones surely as it's a set standard the devices should comply with surely?? Anyway I hope you solve it.

Ok guys I'm back...

Well, I must say that i'm starting loving this phone more than my previous P910i.
And if you read my previous post, i think all the problems i had came from me and not the phone. I had no patience neither could handel the gadget.
Now I'm getting more and more confident with it and it's amazing all this phone can do.
Let's touch wood, I havent had any real problem so far.

Most of the negative things I pointed in my previous post (page 2 of this thread) are resolved. And nobody helped me... I just played with the phone, comparing the settings in my P910i and step by step I'll get everything fixed.

I've just set up my 2 Yahoo accounts and the one from my internet provider (Telenet) in my P990i and that works GREAT.
I can now send and receive from all my accounts from my phone.

I've already personalyzed it with themes I've download at www.zedge.net
I also transfer about 85 mp3 songs from my PC to my 1GB Sony memory stick. And at this moment I'm typing this message on my laptop, I'm formatting some movies on my desktop to put them on the phone. I had made a test and it works fine.
For the ones interested I've two programmes for converting movies to phone format : 1) Movie Jack Mobile bought in a computer store and 2) Sony Ericsson Media Studio purchased at Handango.
For converting my cd's into MP3 I use Audiograbber download completely for free on the internet.

I don't know if I told you that but before buying the phone I had already got a silicone case (in two pieces) covering the phone and its keypad + I had also ordered transparent film protection for the screen.
That means that from the moment I got the phone, it was all protected.
The accessories are from Ebay. Silicone case came from Hong-Kong, film protections from Germany. And I'm in Belgium.

What I still need to is installing the SE PC suite in order to synchronize my Outlook (calender and contacts) with the phone.

Oh before I forget, I've some troubles getting my bluetooth headset recognized by the phone. To be honest, the phone doesn't recognize no bluetooth device. But I think this will be resolved just like my other myseries.
My pc recognize the phone when bluetooth activated, but not vice-versa.
I'll check that later.

After all is set and work properly, I'll put my P910i on Ebay for sale... Let's wait a little bit.

Anuj congrats for your purchase : a lot of people experienced hard times with their P990i but I think SE is doing his best to fix the bugs. Hopely you got one with a good fw.

Alright, if you guys need some help don't hesitate. I'm not a freak at all but can maybe help.
