Well guys a lil update we found on my frends W850 hz had hz for 1month now and when it was new we saw the crack wasnt that big BACK THEN well nw its very much visable, the crack extended coz i knw it only went frm the center nav key to the down nav key,wel nw hz W850 crack has grown its nw basicaly separating left side and right side of the nav key pad, the crack is now from the top of the Up nav key and goes down to the center nav key then frm the center nav key to the Down nav key and it has nw past the down nav key and nearly at the very bottom of the nav keypad, wich is seriously dissapointing, and very un-impressd by SE coz of W850 build quality

@ GUCCI.011

Now that's freaking scary. The crack on mine hasn't spread yet, but I'm equally disappointed with the W850i directional pad build quality.

It would be interesting to know whether anyone with this problem has actually managed to get the pad replaced.

hi I'm new to this forum.
I have 2 Friends who are using W850i White also found the Crack on the Directional Pad.
Mine is Black, don't found the crack.
is the problems only exist in White Edition?
My battery cover also took me 30mins to open, @ the first time....

Just found out about this thread and having my W850i next to me, I checked it out right away ...

unfortunately, the crack is there ... It's so small you can barely see the little bastard. As I'm a reseller and also SE service point, I will try and get some information regarding this problem. I wouldn't recommend you guys to already buy a new pad and change it, if you only have that tiny crack.
Hopefully I'll get some good news from SE ...

whats the point of getting it replaced ??? , it will only break again in a few months time , you may aswell wait another 3 months till it gets worse then buy a new 1 , it doesent affect how the d-pad is used to theirs no point , or in my case anyway , lol.

the crack wont be spreading, i guess.
i have the crack for about almost 2 months. it wont expand to any direction unless goes down. (If u use it normally of course).
yes, u have my word.

There i have nothing to worried about. Just expected SE will be solve it soon as possible. SE must do something about this.

Haven't heard of the material on the W950's keypad cracking though. Maybe SE should've used a similar concept there.
