> Today I played with a T68 with Java

What would you drooling people do with a Java enabled phone?
I remember some friends of mine hasted to upgrade their Siemens SL45 to SL45i version. -"For just having the latest!" They never used the function in the phone...so sad. I have to go with "c96sthl" on this one... Can't see a real use for Java apps in cell phones today. Wake me up again when the operators and service providers get their eyes open.

i dun mind paying for java in t68....as long as it is possible....all i want is to downlaod java games into t68 while on my way home.......the games in t68 is way too boring

yeah... after looking at the mophun game they have. damn~ i just want java so badly.
if the T-300 have the bluetooth and calendar option. i already own a T-300~!

Hold on a minute. There should be no license-fee for SE if they developed the virtual machine and supporting software themselves.
If they used software from sun - that is a whole other question because then they would reselling the work of sun.
If they themselves made T68 run java code there would be no license fee involved at all.

I would like to point out that we will probably not see a Java SW for T68i. It has reached the end of it's life. Most of the bugs have been sprayed and it's become a stable product.
However, it does make a good platform to develop new things. In CeBIT I played with a T68i with downloadable games on it. That makes no garantee that the T68i will ever have that.
The first time I saw Sync ML, EMS and MMS was in the Ericsson booth in 2000 CeBIT and they used spcecial Demo phones. Red R320's with the letters PROTOTYPE written on them in white letters. They were only using the phone as a platform for development or even demonstration!
I think SE will introduce us to the next T68i quite soon! I hope it will have an inbulit camera and at least 4096 display... or 65000 display to kick the competition good.

I would prefer Mophun over Java actually. Mophun seems alot better..
I just downloaded th Mophun SDK, and the included examples with source are nice. It seems rather easy to develop games for it using C/C++
