I really wouldn't let BlueChip wind you up he came on the E90 thread and stated the E90 will be a flop due to S60 and it just a brick. When asked nicely to explain his opinion he of course couldn't. I don't hate SE but i do think they have taken advantage of their loyal supporters but those that are happy or prepared to put up with it it is thier choice as after all it is there money they have spent. But as i have said many times before as long as people accept this behaviour it is never going to change. Just join those of us that won't and just don't buy SE products anymore that IMO is the best way to go.

You state that you want to get this all resolved and join this class action, but with this kind of attitude you are showing it's just going to cause more problems. I have had my own fair share of problems with UIQ3 but how can you show a united front for all the people with issues when you start calling the people that could very well help show any legal proceding a fair and unbiased view of the users of P990 and others.

If you had bought the handset from an official seller, and you didnt think the phone is fit for the purpose it was bought for , then demand your money back under the Sales of Good act in your country, simple as that.

If you bought it from somewhere like ebay and cant return it, get it debranded or buy something else.

customers of any faulty product vote with there feet, and move onto something else......or deal with it and live with the choice they made.


my p990i is amazing, works perfectly, wifi, blutooth all perfect.
i paid for the debrand coz even though SE whould have released the phone t hat way, they didnt, and the option to get another handset or this one working was a no brainer.

lawsuits?

I sure hope you win. SE really needs a kick in the face to wake up! Their support is absolutely ridiculous. In fact, it's virtually non-existent. Third parties provide most of the support. My W800i's joystick has been broken for over 2 months and since it's an unlocked version, no third party shop can touch it. So I went directly to the Sony Style store, yes it's the only direct from SE store in the whole country. And you know what I got: "I'm sorry, you have to be in the SE club to get your phone fixed.; So how do I join the club?; You have to purchase at least 200 000 COP (enough for a prepaid K510) here in the store.; WTF????"

Also, SE was the last phone maker to set up an actual official store (which is actually just Sony). Nokia's had one for ages and Motorola set it up, too.

So here's my good luck to you and f*#& SE. I'm getting a Nokia.

What's this your forum now is it we are not allowed to criticize the great and brilliant SE wake up and get a life if you can't take valid criticism of faulty products and just want to defend the indefensible at least try and do it with some style.

Ares i don't know how many times i have told you i am not anti SE but yet you seem to not to be able to grasp this simple fact. I am just not a SE fanatic like you that can see them doing no wrong you constantly deny any problems and then every now and then it slips out that yes that problem has happened to you to but not as often or not recently.

If you really truly believe that SE delivered in the P990 6 months ago a product worthy of launching sorry but you are an idiot. You have defended thier actions from day one and i wish i had a pound for every time you have said don't worry the next firmware will come soon and fix it .Or my absolute favourite one of yours just reformat and reset the phone and reinstall the firmware oh and not forgetting don't restore a back either as that can cause problems.

This great device is a little over 6 months old and has had numerous firmwares that have improved things but not nearly enough by most peoples standards of what they expected and paid for. How does it feel knowing your Flagship device has already lost 50% of it's value. SE have taken you and all there users for mugs they have sold you a work in progress at top prices and yet you all praise them for doing it. I'm going to laugh my socks of when they leave you all high and dry and start milking thier new super duper UIQ3.1 devices which they will expect you to pay top money for again and by the way things are currently actually doubt they will be much better either. Also it now appears that many are blaming SEUS for not downloading the firmware properly either it just keeps getting worse doesn't it. Just look at how many loyal and knowledgeable SE supporters have given up and dumped this flagship model. It takes a big man to admit when he has been ripped off and made a mistake but i suppose for you and the other fanatics denial is a river in Egypt.

I must be a SE hater and basher for failing to ignore any faults and seeing SE through Rose tinted glasses believe it or not i would criticize any manufacturer that had released a device and failed to give customer service of this magnitude it just so happens that currently SE are definitely No:1 at this at least.

My wife is returning here P990i, she just can not use the phone. Its the same with all the people at here work that have this phone (and there are alot of them). And this is people that are all power user, NOT any n00bs. Man, sometimes i just can not blame them. But so far, mine is working ok
