SE must have a patent on it surely?!
They best do!
Its a superb design that means my phone isnt as wide as it is tall!! (was using a BB 8700 before and i hate wide devices!)

While reading all your comments about the keypad and it seems that most of you are impressed with the feel of it and just now I tried my brother M600, first it feel strange, but after few times texting an sms it feel different than other phone, seems to be a new nice experience

AIUI the Pearl's keys don't actually rock, it just relies on a predictive text system (known as SureType) to guess which of the two letters on each you were after when you press a key. Clever, but only a step up from T9 really - not a true Qwerty like the M600i's.

I think the M600 keypad is a true breakthrough. But some people (like myself) will take longer than others to get used to it. I still type slower on it that I did with T9 on regular numberic keypads, but I don't really feel like going back to my P990 because the qwerty on the p990 is just tiny. I've also tried the E61 and the JasJam, and the M600 is twice as comfortable. It just feels great to have qwerty at half the size.
The only keyboard that beats it is the one on the nokia communicator. But who would trade the m600 for that

its amazing! best qwerty keyboard on a phone by far! the buttons are a good size easy to press without making the phone really wide. just thinking of it makes me want to get another!

I had a Blackberry Pearl with the SureType™ keyboard and it was easy to use. Not quite as good a a full QWERTY keyboard, but if you want the small form factor you have to accept some tradeoffs. If you're doing 10 or 15 emails a day they SureType is fine, usually an easy adjustment from QWERTY. More than that and you might want to consider something a little larger for the QWERTY keyboard. The upcoming Blackberry 8300 is going to be interesting.

Looking forward to trying a P700 keyboard with the larger botton row and different button style.
