The apps that came with the phone do not have an exit function, and they can only be terminated via the task manager.
When you hit the back button, these remain open.
Y
et you may wanna keep them open, cos it usually takes some time to open these again, and if u use that app (i.e. messaging) very often, it will really look like the phone is slow opening the app every time, instead of just switching to it..

I'm definitely happy with mine. My old p910i was falling apart and I managed to trade it in so it basically cost me USD320 to buy a brand new unbranded p990i just 6 months removed from its launch!

For the most part, I haven't experienced the difficulties that others have had.

Now, I've tried using the various iterations of the XDA and was a long-time PALM user. It's difficult to compare platforms but I think that, on balance, this phone is at least on par with a TREO given that what I need for my daily activities is not a miniature PC but more of a PDA/Phone (or Smartphone for those who want to split hairs).

I dont know about the P990, I kinda liked it with the keypad off, but then I faced the problem of not being able to use it with one hand (I hate how you cant use the QWERTY keypad for full navigation, its almost impossible to navigate around the fone without using touch screen, wen keypad is removed), so I ended up putting the horrid keypad back one, hate it, sp bulky and ugly, My P990 is lying in my drawer now, I only use my W810, waiting (more like hoping) for SE to come up with a FW version that allows you to navigate through the fone using just the QWERTY.

I'm satisfied with my phone and using it everyday for music, watching dvd movies(converted ofcourse),wifi, word documents, powerpoint, calling, texting, taking pictures and playing games. What's good with the new firmware(R5A17) the battery can hold up to 3 days without a single restart and doing all the things i mention above. Videocall is also great seeing my girlfriend everytime i call her. VoiP is what i need and fix the autofocus on video mode plus adding a animation background would be great

Am I satisfied? ... A year after it's release it still suffer from design/UI flaws, distinct bugs and SE customer care policy can be described only as FUD

Am I satisfied? ... Hell no ... I am disappointed.

Very satisfied since the last few firmware updates, and before that I never had many problems with the phone, apart from it being slow. Now it's a lot faster and more stable and I think it's great.

(I've always been in the habit of turning my phone off at least once a day, usually at night, so I think a lot of the memory and resulting application problems that some people moan about never tended to affect me anyway, as the regular reboots keep the phone stable.)

Overall - an excellent, immensely capable handset.
