That was the reason I purchased one of my registrations so the age of the car was cloaked so to speak.
Not only that it's one of the best investments I have made. People took the rise out of me for buying the plate, but I think I may have the last laugh now! I purchased for £1500 about 15 years ago, and have been offered in the region of £8000.
Do not forget the registration is NEVER yours, as it always belongs to the DVLA. They have the right to have it back if they choose.

I just had a look at DVLA registrations, you could wait until June 2027 and get yourself
FA77 REG.

After the 59 series (end of '09) it changes to the 10 series for 2010 then for the end of 2010 it changes to the 60 series. For 2011 it will become the 11 series then for the change at the end, it will become the 61 series. See where I'm going with this?
