I doubt the bare parts will be conductive, but SE might have discovered a conductive super-plastic

Turns out i get a 0.001 vac conductivity over the whole area. Since it is not totaly bare, i can't really test it. Maybe if i sand it down a bit

EDIT ON THAT:
Well, its not the voltage i need to test lol, just tested the resistance on the material, on the sprayed metal, i get 1 ohm. On the bare part, i get 0.1 ohm, since there is still some color (metal flakes) left.

According to my dad, lower resistance means higher conductivity, so what the hell is up with the phone? Metal coated with plastic??? Metalic plastic paint finish?? hum....

Thanks for the pictures Johnex

Thses issues made me inspect my old K700...the battery cover of it seems to be made out of metal. If a cheap K series can have some metal, why cant the P series??

@stallion,yes,i would like to see ur protection film.

I dont use any protection for my phone except for a screen protector.8 months with me and one minute dent on the top near infra red causing the paint scratched(caused by a guy at work) and some cigarette's burning ash fell on my phone's inside flip on one hinge causing the paint off(again caused by a friend).

nice pics jonex... as i suspected sprayed plastic ..

where are u now nanu.. lol

i say before u even use the handset is to put some paint protection film on the vulnerable areas as i have done and mines still mint!!

do u want to see a picture of mine too dr thug!

I'm here, I still say it is too neat a finish to be sprayed on and the fact that it is conductive leads me still to the conclusion it is a thin metal finish as oppose to paint unless they are using conductive paint if there is such a thing?

sure, metalic paint is conductive, the flakes in the metal make it so.
