@jemuel,
My opinion of wireless stereo with the HBH-DS970 is mixed. Songs with heavy bass cause other sounds to "drown" behind the bass. An example: in the song "Given Up" from Linkin Park's latest album, to me it sounds like Chester's vocals get interrupted by the heavy base beat. Other people here have not had the same experience. Someone mentioned that very high bitrates can cause problems with A2DP headsets.
For what it's worth: my new TyTN II paired with the same HBH-DS970 headset and playing the same tracks through PocketMusic with X-Bass enabled gives perfect and really heavy bass without distortion of surrounding vocals or instruments.

Having monitored peoples differing experiences of the 990, I'd say it was a good buy, as long as you get a good phone - and that's where it becomes something of a lottery. If I were to buy another, I'd narrow the odds by getting a brand new/unused one as the reason someone might be selling a used one via ebay could be that it's faulty and crash prone.
But other than that, it's a very cool device....

by November or december, i think i could get it. I hope it's still available by then because just last week, it really hit the PHP12000 or 220USD. second hand is not an option here...

My friend here in our own country have P990. and he often use it as media player, camera, and for web browsing with even the transitions on! i have seen it in my eyes and i could say that those negatives thrown by disappointed users of P990 were not as critical as they were trying to imply here. i tried the phone, run 2 applications at once with transitions on and theres no restarts nor slow downs. it behaves like all other P-series phones
Anyway I'm not a heavy multitasker, since even the popular Palm PDAs do not multitask either and i can even stand with the drawback of that OS and use it reliably. anyway applications for P990 are quite few atm, but the scenario would change on 2008 as StyleTap will now release a version for Symbian. anyway StyleTap allows other OS platforms to run all possible Palm OS applications via Palm OS emulator. if you are interested visit the StyleTap for UIQ thread found here
Goodluck Bro!

those features you mentioned are what i'm after! it's good that it can run that smoothly... maybe I could multitask a litte, 3 programs at most. what's transition anyway?

It's a fancy graphic effect that happens when you press an icon or menu. You know how menues on PCs sometimes slide into view? Well stuff like that...most people get bored of them afer a while, and they use extra system resources.
Also known as eye-candy : pretty but pointless...Macs have alot of it

Forget the P990. It's outdated and a source of problems.
Get a P1. It's stable and updated (firmware & hardware)

but with the p1i, what i'm missing is the p-series signature flip. i like the thought if being able to put it on, and remove it. by putting it on, i can use it as a regular phone. take it off, and i can e-mail a-la-blackberry style or use it like a regular PDA.

I've always been a great admirer of the P-series flip. Although some would argue it is no longer relevant, I think it is even more relevant now especially when paired with a qwerty board. Single handed operation (like it or not) is still a very big deciding factor and you can't beat the flip's ease of use even if compared with the M-series type qwerty. It is what all qwerty phones' users dream of in sticky situations at one point or another. It extends the P990's versatility tremendously the way it never has with the previous P-series. Unfortunately another big deciding factor would be its size. The generous length and width could easily be excused with a much thinner form factor (the flip obviously didn't help) which I can only wish we would get (a much thinner integration of the flip) with the P990 successor
