K850 number 3 is here.

If this is no better, it'll probably be my last...

It still has the old software, but it looks like a newer build to me. The box is slightly different for a start.

At the moment it feels solid. The back doesn't creak, neither does the screen, neither does the back cover. But then it's brand new, so this could well change.

Well, I was wrong. K850 #3 had the same issues, so I returned it for #4. When will it end?

im agree with mib1800, SE should halt K850i sales for now, is a very buggy phone.

wait few month and get the k850.. then the buggy shall be solved by SE. Question is if you want to wait few month . Or you are very unlucky with K850.. Or get some other manufacture than SE.

well as much as i dont like to say it the k850i is the biggest piece of sh*t i have had! so many bugs and no signs of an update.

no wonder people cant give them away on here. You just goto look at the number of them coming up for sale. Not fetching a good price either.

come on SE do the right thing and get this sorted.

All that hard work with the k800 and k810 to buil a reputation and now its being p*ssed down the drain!

not happy

Hi all,

Even worse it's not just thread reporting problems look at the K850 firmware thread with people on there 3rd 4th or even 5th phone which is here

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=157121

I some how think this will also effect the 4th quarter profit now especially with the cost of so many handsets being sent back to both Networks and even the CPW.

What i personally find more worrying is the amount of so called flagship devices being made in China and then having not just firmware but also build quality issues some thing you never saw in an Ericsson phone ever.

Marc

the way i feel about this phone at the moment is that i would drop it like a brick given the chance. I really cant think of one thing that it does better than my k810i. Terrible pics, keeps freezing between menu selections, poor build quality

really really frustrating

I have mixed feelings about it. I can see such great potential, but it's easy to get disheartened when it struggles to operate as a normal phone, let alone to take pictures.
