it is correct the k850i's sensor is no bigger than the k800i's one, and for 5megapixels it should be bigger, but bigger sensors will make the phone bigger and use more battery and probley cost more to buy.
That's why i say 3.2mp is enough for a camphone.
Ok K850 sensor is newer, but think it had 3.2mp, then it would be the best camphone.

your wrong the sensor size does make a huge difference with more megapixels sure 1.3megapixels & 2megapixel phones & cams only need tiny sensors, To increase the pixel count, the sensor has to be divided into smaller and smaller pixels. The result is a decrease in sensitivity of the camera and an increase in noise because the amount of light collected by a single pixel is smaller but in order to achieve that better lenses with high resolution and a lower lateral chromatic abberation are needed. However better lenses are bigger and don’t fulfill the requirements for ’small cheap mobile phones. even thought the k850 has 5megapixels you only realy get the detail of 3megapixels

@ sadeghi85.....hhhmmmmm (again)
i didnt mean the size of numbers of megapixels, i mean the actually size of the sensor
numbers of megapixels is (often) a good thing...you more pixels you easier to get "sharp" pics when you print them out (and some other stuff as well)

@plankgatan
I mean number of pixels per sq inch
You say having more mp is good cos by resizing pic we'll get sharper pic?

Increasing Mega Pixels is not the solution, in actual photography you'll see smaller sensors with more pixels have loss in image quality, THe K800 sensor should actually perform better than the K850 sensor where noise is concerend, more pixels on the same surface area increases interference of pixels.

you call this "nice natural" picture??
i call that WASHED OUT like hell with "nice" purple sky...
i will pick n82 any time insteed k850
and btw its funny to see how k850 users capture every photo in document mode, to get sharper image, because they can get good sharpness in normal mode...i dont wanna mention photo DJ and color thing....

That image is terrible, lots of JPEG artefacts, a trained eye can tell you that with a little help from photoshop. Lots of burning up of details. Not natural at all.
