I think the P900 was my highlight.

Nothing came close to that.

Still waiting for them to bring out a phone with a modern high tech design like that.

I loved it.

Dude, even though I doubt this applies to Don Juan, but some people in some parts of the world aren't as lucky as some of us and may have to save up months or even years of their salary to get the phone of their choice, so for some, obtaining a new phone is indeed an achievement worth congratulating and making fun of this is insensitive of you

@all

I also have never had any problems with any of my SE phones. I've never owned a UIQ phone, but in the feature phone high end I've owned K700, K750, K800 and W910. Noo problems other than:

1. a bug in the W910 with media player (it kills the activity menu if used for more than half an hour un-minimised).

2. K700 joystick locked up after about 12months use, but I was able to clean it with contact cleaner and it's been fine since.

Other than that no hardware errors, no resets, no pieces falling off. Sterling.

I do look after my phones quite well, but I think that's par for the course with electronic equipment. I was raised to treat equipment with care if I wanted it to last. It's a lesson I always remembered.

In my eyes, S60 is best suited for ALL of them; while getting a WM device right now seems like a stop gate. You'll be installing so many third party apps to replace core system functionality (well same with S60 too; but less so out of necessity; Browser being the most IMPORTANT). Next March I think is when WM7 debuts and THEN we'll have something to really enjoy. Yes I'm not a WM fan at all but WM7 promises a lot of major improvements but will Microsoft truly deliver on this promise?!

I guess you could expect this from me, since I am a WM fan, but I don't agree. The best browser for s60 is Opera Mini (strange but true), though the native browser is close second. The reason Opera Mini is better because it does a better job of rendering (other than flash). According to my bro-in-law who uses his N95 for internet about 2hrs a day, he has better luck viewing web pages on Opera Mini than the native browser.

On WM platform, the best browser is Opera Mobile, which easily competes with the s60 native browser in functionality.

So I would say Opera (mini or mobile) is the best browser, which still leaves me installing third party browsers (on either s60 or WM)

Other than that, for core functionality what apps do you need to install on WM? TCPMP (core player)? Well yes, but it's way better than the limited inbuilt mp3 player of s60 (so again we need to install third party on s60)

Depending on the WM device, you may need to buy picture album software. On my Samsung i780 though, the samsung supplied stuff is the best I've seen. Usually the built in stuff does the job though.

btw, WM is much easier to hack to one's personal preference - so even if it did require more third party support, 90% would be freeware and you still have the option of tweaking the interface via the registry to change things about WM that you don't like.
