I thought the 13 sec trick worked...But unfortuntely it doesn't..Try adding ur used memory up (themes, sounds, pics etc.) and then adding it with the free space..U'll end up with only 580 kb or something..Now try the same thing with a normal Master Reset, U'll now have a memory on the good side of 1000 kb...So it doesn't help..It only hides 500 kb of the phones memory...

While I get only a little more memory free, I was able to get rid of the T-Zones icon and the T-mobile screen. Restored the SE liquid opening and closing. Restored the WAP Services icon. This was worth it even though I still only have a little more than half the memory I should be able to use.

Also, I can now delete any item without worrying that it will erase more memory. My phone used to freeze or reboot when I tried to get rid of pre-defined items without using the 13 sec. trick. So there are more advantages than just freeing up memory.

But hey SE GET RID OF THE JUNK!!!!! GIVE US OUR 1MB!!!!!

I did the 13s trick on my T300! It works indeed. So, I got about 600k free but my contacts and my own composed ring tones are still in there! However, every item I load seems to appear with a triple size inside or more! This is really annoying! And one more thing... i can't do anything to change the amount of money it supposed to cost the call (wich anyway is 0.00 cause I can't set the tariff-old type SIM with PIN 1 only) with the time passed for that call, on my screen! This really piss me off! Any advice? Txk!

Daca cineva cunoaste si alte smekerii pentru T300...

does this whole process make any sense?
I just did a plain "master reset" on my 310, and it's well over 600k
(started about 630k, but viewing the pictures copies them to the phones memory, so now it's just 605k)

unfortunately, it seems that every picture takes at least 11k, regardless of their original size (maybe it's the cluster size in the filesystem?)

Hey guys,as I posted before I have a T68i and I did this trick, but I released the battery many times at 5 secs!I ended up without any themes, pictures and ringtones!I have 1128 kb free memory! And when I do master reset nothing appears again! It's like the pre-installed items deleted from ROM memory! What do you think?Jalu,Cytech,Sanjeeva?I think the phones' memory fu**ed up,but I had 1128 kb to use! When I download themes, pictures e.t.c I ended up with 1080 kb totally used! Not bad! But,is my memory fu**ed up? As has been explained before, the T300 (T310, T68i, maybe T610) stores all images internally in its own proprietary format. That's why when you put something in memory it takes up more space. There's the original file, and the decompressed proprietary format.

When you do a master reset with the 13 second trick this cache is cleared, so you get a load of free memory back, but as soon as you do anything, those images you placed in the phone are decompressed again, and you quickly lose what free memory you got until you get back to the point before the master reset.

Avoiding loading the defaults only saves a little memory, because those default images aren't actually places in your RAM.
