@Domecot: you can easily format a USB drive on a mac with Disk Utility Software; which is part of the Operating System.

Here in Holland the Apple employees know what they talk about. The price is everywhere the same. So that's the place to be

Going back a bit, you can read and write to NTFS drives on a mac, you need to install Paragon NTFS for OSX and you'll be away, FAT32 is good but it's limited to 2gb files and DVD images are bigger than that! All my mac hdds are OS journaled and all USB sticks are NTFS, so they work cross platform....

Need any help Ofiaich gimme a PM, I went through the beginner to OSX not so long ago and still retain a lot of the info and stuff you may need!

Thanks very much fatreg!

I just got home with it! Cup of tea then open the box!

I need to get used to it then, think about running one Windows Program that is a smiple Word Processor but has a fantastic JapaneseEnglish dictionary.

I will think about my other Windows software later.

Need to link to my WiFi HP Printer and things like that, but will take my time!

I was given a cheap case worth 20 pounds and might look for a smart carrying case with a pocket or two for mouse and charger.

Keep any advice coming and I will post here often too!

Hi everyone,

Loving the MacBook but a lot to learn at the moment...

I can get Microsoft Office for Mac for free from the university and also anti-Virus - probably MacAFee..

I know there is Mac Office software, forgot the name, but not sure whether to buy yet. I don't think I need both..

I did install and then un-install MSN Messenger for Mac. I unistalled it because a strange icon like a hard disc icon appear on the desktop. I think it was an 'installation' icon. I could not delete it.. Hard to exit MSN too, so I forced close, then deleted.

I want to re-install MSN but not have that strange icon on the desktop!

I am also thinking of what software other to buy and also to download!... Any advice appreciated!

Oh! My Nexus One would not pair via bluetooth, not sure why. I did see the six digit number, but no request to input it on the Nexus..

I will also check out Skype for the Mac too!
