Well, I actually used a hairdryer set on cool for a little while and then I left it to dry for about 2 and a half days.

I'm curious - does your phone still recognise the battery as an Ericsson one? After mine dried out it thought it had an alien battery for the first two charges then finally worked out that it was Ericsson. Don't know how this affects the battery life.

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. Does the phone tell you something if it thinks that it's an alien battery and does this happen when you start charging?

Yes, when I plugged the charger in it said something like 'Charging, alien battery' rather than the normal 'Ericsson optimized charging'. Maybe the contacts were still damp or something. It's working normally again now.

I think he means that when you put the charger in to charge the phone if it says Ericsson Optimized Charging then it recognizes your battery if it doesnt then its the alien battery thing....Congratulations on saving your T68 thats great!!!
