I'm careful about my phone, unfortunately the wife isn't, whenever she asks to use it I'm always hovering in the background looking out for signs of misuse!
Unforunately she has a Nokia and is in the process of being brainwashed into getting an SE

I dropped my P8 only 1/2m onto a tiled floor and the signal was really bad afterwards, I was (luckily) still in my two week trial so the phone was replaced. Now I have got it in a Krusell, looks ugly but does the job, I had only had the P8 I day when I dropped it and hadn't found a case.
Fone cases are a good idea. Does anyone know when they are going to bring out a fone skin for the P8 without flip? I have used 'skins' on Nokias and they are great, you get the looks of your phone but it is protected.

I dropped my A1018s in the live core of a nuclear reactor, it was glowing in the dark after that, but it still worked flawlessly! It didn't even turn off or lose it's signal, and there wasn't a scratch on it!
Oh wait... that never actually happened.
Though I'm pretty sure the A1018s could withstand such abuse without breaking a sweat
