We are starting to see more and more T610's that have been damaged by that program. Only about 50% of the damaged phones are fixable by EMMA.

should enable ppl to flash/upgrade their phones them self
that way they can test that everything works fine.
I use my phone in work and can't be without it for several weeks
(thats the time it takes to get it back from upgrade when I have to
send it in here in sweden my T68i is still in for upgrade 5weeks now).
Would be so much better if ppl could do this athome like with siemens
phones.

so if you can only flash with your current version of firmware.. i have the old voda firmware. should i go to a SE service center and get the latest voda firmware, then flash it myself with SES with the latest non-voda firmware

Take the phone to MobileXchange in West Kensington - the boys there flashed my t610 for me in 15 minutes. Charge = £35 which includes unlocking to all networks.

Simon, my cable has 4 plastic prongs and 11 gold pins in groups of 2, 1 and 8. As posted around here, you can phone order or pnline order the cable from a few different places. dvds2000.co.uk have it for a cheap price.

From the sounds of it your cable may be the problem. Where did you get it from?

Krypton_John,

I've tried it many times - with just a short press of the power button. I've even tried pressing it with a pen top to make sure the contact is made! I think the problem may be the cable (going back to my earlier post). If you have successfully completed the flashing, can you let me know where you bought your cable? Or post a photo of the end connections (taken with your T610 camera!) - as I've seen variances in pin placements from different suppliers. Some have 2 plastic extrusions and some have just 1. Or better still, can I buy your cable?

No, just ask for the T28 data cable. Most phone shops dont realise that customers can unlock their own phones. This message was posted from a T610
