I was walking round a safeways in Brum talking on mine and several people gave me glances that said "how could you, you sicko!" it's not as though I'm walking round with "pedo" tatooted on my forehead, I'm making a phone call! In the end I had to use my handsfree and make it look as though I'm talking to myself, but, better to look like a nutter than a so-called pervert.
On the subject of bookstores, I've used mine to take photos of ISBN numbers in Waterstones, the staff thought I was taking photos of pages, but I pointed out what I was in fact doing and they didn't object (think they would if they knew I went to amazonUK and found them cheaper
)

perhaps they thought you had an extra eye on the side of your head so that you coud see what you were taking. or they might have mistaken the p800 for a braun shaver and thought you were trimming your ear hair :-)

I know which tabloid in the UK I can blame this entire panic on (by the way, this is my opinion and does not in any way represent the opinions of esato.com (does it say that already? I can't remember)) and it's THE SCUM, I mean, Sun, I've seen many articles in there attempting to create hysteria over these wonderful inventions.

Well Ive tried to take a photo of a magazine page with my P800 and totally unreadable no matter what! Whenever I go to the gym I have to make sure its turned off and in my bag before I walk in the door incase it rings and I have to take it out. BTW they have attatched signs on both male and female locker rooms stating "Mobile Phones are not to be used inside the locker rooms at any time - you are of course permitted to use them elsewhere in the club"
