@Sammy: i think they r bragging as i have perfect coverage and made a test: didn't use it alt all (no games, no gprs, no midis, no calls, no sms) and it lasted almost 4 days but with NO usage. With normal usage (a few calls, a few sms and a few snapshots) i get 3 days period.

keep in mind that signal strength is one of the main factors affecting battery life. if you spend a lot of time in low signal strength areas, your battery life will be much shorter.

anything from 2 to 4 days is about the average i think. that's what i get with my z600. one of the earlier posts mentioned getting 4 to 5 days with a lot of talk time. that person tho is from singapore and signal strength there is just so bloody strong no matter where you go. you still get full bars even inside the lifts!

as i mentioned, i usually get 2 to 4 days on my phone, but on my last trip to singapore, i was there for 3 days and my battery indicator never moved from the full position just because the signal strength is so damned strong that the phone hardly had to work at all!

just something to keep in mind.

I am also disapointed with the T630 so far. I compare it with my old T68i, but its even worse than my old 6610. What I liked with the T68i was the battery status, indicating how long time was left. Why doesn't the T630 have this?

@senninha:

I think you could be right - I live in an area with quite a poor signal - upstairs I usually get 2-3 bars, and downstairs 1-2, and the occasional brief 'sos calls only', when it loses my operator altogether!! Similar story at my girlfriend's. Thanks for the info all! The battery also seems to be lasting a little longer now that it's had a couple of full charge/discharge cycles as well, which seems to have 'conditioned' the battery a bit. It'll be interesting to see what my battery life will be if I spend a few days in another part of the country/even in another country.

The shortest time I got on my t610 was 2 days. this was after 16 hrs of using the HPR-20 with heavy SMS usage and a smattering of calls.

a lot of you must have defective batteries.

I've recently been working in an area that has a much better signal than at home - and yes, the battery has lasted a lot longer than before - over 3 days as opposed to about 2! So it does seem that signal strength has quite a big say on how long your battery lasts

I switched from orange to O2 online last month. O2's signal is pathetic compared to the 4-5 bars now orange. Hence my phone's battery life has dropped from 3 1/2 days to just about 2. Signal = perhaps biggest factor in battery life. This message was posted from a T610

Hei! I got the same problem with you.

When i have a chit chat for 1 hr, my batt is dropped from almost full to red (Almost empty, very thin red line).

If I didnt use the phone, i mean if use it in normal way, no games and anything just normal talk for work - my batt only last 2 and half day top! (On for 24hrs)

I think, its bcos of the light. It wont turn off if we are on the phone. Not like other phone that will turn off the light automaticly after few secs.

Well, in that case, I need to recharge my T610 everyday.... Wat a waste of energy...

That backlight not turning off during a call's got to be quite a drain on the batt as well!! It does seem a bit daft that it does not turn off whilst on a call, whether your talking for a minute or an hour!
