Devices that do accept Duo Pro such as the Sony camera's will accept regular Duos as well... However, it makes no sense to release a 256mb Duo and 256mb DUO Pro for around the same cost when the PRO is supposed to run faster... Being that SE is sticking to its guns that Pxxx will not accept memory higher then 128mb I can accept the fact that 256mb + Duo sticks are manufactured for other devices... I took a look at one of these Sony cameras and my 128mb Duo does fit it without the need of the adapter and does work as well.. However, the only technical difference is that the 256mb Duo PRO was able to work in it and not my P900.. I do know there are those DUO selects with the 2 memory banks that one can use with their Pxxx phones...

I think the p900s will be able to use it but it is not a regular duo....it is the select duo......just like bigfeat has said ..you have to get it out and select which 128 bank you want

Damn... you're right, one quick search using google proves to be more of a Pro DUO than a non Pro. Guess BananaPC don't know what they are selling

They are DUOs in fact... Sandisk does confirm they have 236mb DUO sticks... They are targeted towards the 2.5G and 3G phones because they do infact accept memory above 128mb... Wether they are compatible with P900s I do doubt it... Moreover, Banana is only 1 of about 6 places that do carry them so its not a webpage typo... It so happens the same place I get my 128mb Duos from do offer them as well so I know they should be legit.. I will talk to someone today to confirm this.. If they are unaware of sure compatibility with the P900 I will purchase one today and report back to you guys....

BananaPC.com does NOT have 256mb Duos... They infact made a BOO-BOO and neglected to place the word "PRO" in the description page.. I spoke to a sales rep who infact queried the part number and came up with PRO DUO.. However, after pointing him towards his website he was shocked that the word PRO didn't appear anywhere on the page.. This would be a case of false advertisement if they were in deed knowledgable of the omission of the word "PRO" on that description page. However, he pleaded that he was not cognizant of this blunder. What I have seen though is that most companies are extremely confused about the terminology used to describe memory classes.. He actually didn't know the difference until I explained it to him..
I also consulted with Sandisk and they advised me that they don't have any products released as of yet for the DUO family that is greater then 128mb.. They were not able to discuss any information regarding future intent as that would compromise their company propriety information policy. However, Lexar has released 256mb "select sticks" (2 128mb mem banks), but not the DUO selects yet...
