The LCD and battery is the first things to break. If you donīt let the phone dry completely the components will begin to break after a few days if you donīt try to start it directly and it short circuits ;o)
If you have dryed the phone and everything does work I think it just the LCD thats broken.
Good Luck!

Try using a hair drier/blower. It's worth a try. I saw a serviceman do the same with a phone that was dropped in water.

Yeah, I believe that the LCD short circuited when I tried to test the phone too early. There's plenty to be learned from in this thread. Time seems to be one of the most important factors which is also the hardest to deal with. Tips like using alcohol to help dry, and ensuring that all the components are properly dry before powering are important to know when unfortunate situations arise like this. I think I struggled with the time as I'm so attached to my P900. Like most of us that use the P800/900's we use our phones to the fullest. It's so hard to take that away. Play safe all and thanks for all the tips! Next, LCD replement...

Good news! I changed the LCD screen (big thanks for Rick_kap's tips on how remove the jog dial from the PCB!) and everything is working just fine now. It's great to finally have the P900 back and alive. Now to catch up with all the downloads I missed

so after replacing the lcd screen has it started working again. i bought a full housing from globalmob.com and had successly replaced all the internals to the new housing. i wished i've read this sooner and had a chance to help u with everything but it seems u've found out how to do it urself which is the best way anyways. it sucks to be in ur position tho. but yea if u need help on how to remove anyelse just pm me and i'll help out. the lcd screen on globalmob.com i believe cost about 160usd. and they shipped it to u for prolly an extra 8usd and it takes about a week. my came exactly in a week from the day i place the purchase. im soon about ot do a step by step tutorial on replacing the new housing right as soon as i get the webspace to post pics and then have painted my new housing. this might be a couple of weeks tho. but check up howardforums.com for that in a couple of weeks.

Yep, I changed the LCD screen and the phone is back to normal. I've been using it like mad since I changed the screen and there's no problems to report. I think I paid about $170 USD for the replacement. Ahh, life is so much better with the P900...
