i think the only reason /// joined sony was for the money. sure sony has got nice products and big market strategy, but so /// was on its way them selfs. T68m was and all the marketing arround it was superb. its just sad that that T68 isn't alive anymore. atleast in belgium there not selling it any more, and there is still demand for it. but yes its out of date because of the screen.

could ericsson afford the spilt surely they would have to repay sony the money for the debt they wrote off. the way i see it was ericsson had the ideas but no idea how to impliment and sell sony had the money and the know who to promote a brand and do something with it world wide.
i had a couple of ericsson phones and while they looked nice they were crap to use.
ericsson was going no were but down a hole sony saved them granted se might just be using all ercisson design and ideas but they are at least seeing the light of day, i doubt ericsson could have released thep series or t series without the backing of sony
i was never a fan of sony mobile either but together they are doing alot of things right
so to cut this short no need for them to split as on there own they would both be very poor for different reasons
