I think when closed the S700 looks very good. In the open and swivel position it does not. However, if you can dial and talk when it is closed that would be ok.

I seriously think swivel phone will come and go. It won't stay long. It may be popular to the Japanese consumers, but every country has different taste and fashion.

One would think so. But remember, not long ago many outside Japan and Korea would say same thing about clamshell phone. Now even the largest manufacturer Nokia has catched on the trend.

Moto has also a swivel phone.

Whoa, take it easy Melik.

Not every one have the same interest. If everyone have the same interest and say the same thing, The Esato Forum would not exist and the world would be a boring place, and there would be nothing to talk about....etc.

I'm sure the S700i is nice to touch in real life. SE tends to make great products. I question the swivel design, I think it's just a flavor at the moment.

I do alot of smsing and i dont think the small effort of swiveling the phone open is such a big deal for me....i use two hands to open clamshells anyway. Its the txting that i do with one hand.

Also dont understand why people are saying theyre going to get the P910 instead....if ur gonna compare the two the P910 is the obvious winner anyway...its a smart phone.

What i really dont understand is why someone on here said the S700 is too bulky so they going to get a P910 instead

I too think its too bulky, I wud give 1 more year to the designers to sort out the design & increase megapixels till the I'll be satisfied buying vga quality camera phone...wish they made it a clamshell type or the nokia which jumps open rather than swivel & open the whole thing...

It's worrying that there are people out there who judge a mobile phone by its appearance. To read the opening post, you'd think the writer was buying a piece of jewellery. A mobile phone spends most of its time hidden away in your pocket, and even if you are holding it in your hand, it will probably be almost totally concealed by your hand.

So why the big deal about what it looks like? I just don't get it.

As for the S700, I delayed buying the K700 until I knew more about the S700. My view now is the S700 is just too bulky, and it is more its thickness that concerns me. At 24.5mm against the K700s 19.5mm, it doesn't seem so appealing. At that kind of bulk, it is approaching the size of the P910, although the S700 is quite a bit lighter.
