Geese. Get over it already people. Like whats been suggested here i put my S700 on silent and in meeting profile and the camera noise is still present. The software/firmware version in my 1 month old S700 is the same as what Scotsboy has mentioned. This message was posted from a S700

@Staz

Agreed, seems to be a bit of a mountain out of a molehill for some.

It really p1sses me off how people moan about something so trivial. At least there's an option in the S700 to change the sound unlike the K700 where your stuck with the same sound. End of the day if there was'nt any of crap happening at the moment due to sick minded individuals which has put restrictions on camera usage/picture taking there would probably still be the option to turn the shutter noise off. So until the current situation is sorted its something everybody will have to put up with. Deal with it This message was posted from a S700

I can mute my camera sound on my new S700. No problems.
I just put my phone in silent mode, then goto camera, and i take a pic. NO sounds. I love it that way!

The K700 that i had earlier had a terrible sound!!

Think we've already covered the fact that some S700 can have the shutter sound off. There phones are non UK models which were imported or are bought in other countries. This message was posted from a S700

there must be a way. i am sure. call a toll free number like customer care and take the pic as said seems a good option to me presently.

not trying to be funny or anything........................ but can anyone tell me how to turn up the volume on my p910 shutter sound? Thought it wasn't working till I tried releasing the shutter next to my ear (don't think there's any restrictions on earhole shots!) It's very faint so I keep having to check did I actually take the picture.
Cheers

Try turning up the volume or something. Think its past time this thread was locked. This message was posted from a S700
