Try to put IPs instead normal address (maybe the dns server is not configured or?).. Ping the pop and smtp addresses and write their ip in your email client

Could have sworn I read it on this thread but I guess not. All you frustrated Pxxx users, download Profimail v1.23 from my-symbian (which supports SSL) and Gmail works fine. I've done it. I think, eventually, you have to register it but I haven't yet. BTW changing the DNS address to the IPs revealed by pinging the pop/smtp servers makes no difference - it just
won't work with the default email client at all.

Agree. I downloaded and installled Profimail and not Gmail works fine. it's obviously a problem with the Px00 email client.

Hi ... after insert the correct settings in my P910i the answer from the Gmail service is " Report DND: bad name"
.... Why ... because P910i do not suport SSL!?
Thnx.

@Guy H,
i just downloaded profimail. i think i have all the basic settings there, but it attempts to initialize, then login and then comes back with
'ERR [AUTH] username nad password not accepted'
any idea why? did you fill in anything for the advanced settings?
