Have you tried taking it to your local CPW and asking them to flash it with a generic SE firmware? Will only cost you £10.

You won't be able to without the professional software & cables with cost around £300 i believe.

If you have that money to spend, by all means try it yourself, but it's risky business. You can kill your Pxx0 doing it.

I too have an Orange phone and would like to be able to customise the icons and get rid of the 'orange theme'

Just to clarify, hopefully for the last time, this is flagrantly untrue. CPW will NOT (knowingly) flash branded handsets with generic firmware, for £10, free or a Big Mac and fries. It contravenes the agreements that they have both with the networks and the handset manufacturers. The only known exceptions to this have been certain Voda-locked handsets, which have issues using MP3's as ringtones, which is a feature which the phone is advertised as being capable of doing. Therefore, to avoid goods being returned asd not fit for the purpose for which they were sold, generic flashes have been done.

This does not apply, however, to any Orange handsets, and is not a guarantee that CPW will offer any flashing (and certainly not unlocking) facilities.

Congratulations

Company policy is that they won't, although I've already mentioned that there are some centres that will, depending on the circumstances. My point is simply that they're not supposed to and generally won't.
