This looks interesting, but I cant work out entirely what it is!??

Its a 2.5mm plug right for your phone, with a mic and 3.5mm input socket for normal headphones right?

Thanks for the link, I have downlaoded the Free ripper and have converted some MP3s to oog. Great comression. But most of the time unreal player crashes when playing ogg files. Also the sound if not that great on the unreal player, even on the mp3s. It is not as loud as the original player on P910i
Has anybody experienced any other player that plays oog files and sounds as good or better as the original. UnrealPlayer has to get much better than what it is today before I settle for it.
Thanks

Well thats not my experience, it sounds better and is plenty loud enough for headphones (Ouch) I don't recall it crashing with OGG files either. What ripper are you using?

Sensei/Frontman:

I'm very interested in this Skullcandy Link device - it's exactly what I need. However, the Sony Ericsson version appears to have a standard SE headset connector at the phone end (the one that plugs into the bottom of the phone) rather than the 2.5mm plug that the standard headset comes with. I couldn't use this connector while my P900 is in its case, so I'd rather have the 2.5mm plug type.

Skullcandy do a 'universal' version with a 2.5mm plug, but it's only 3-contact, so I doubt the microphone/call button would work.

I have emailed Skullcandy to see if they have, or are planning, a 4-contact 2.5mm plug type version. Otherwise I'll just have to get the SE version and think of a way around the case problem.

Just buy a converter plug from pc-mobile. Works brilliantly.

Oggplayer works very well, although I believe it's no longer developed. It's open source and therefore free...

Sorry, it was a user (me) problem. With Unreal Player, there are two volume controls ie the player volume and the phone volume. My phone volume was not set to max, so the player volume even at the max was not loud enough. fixed that, and it is great now. And with the ogg files crashing. It was also the bitrate it was ripped at, was not supported by unrealplayer or ogg player. Ripped at a different bitrate, and it is working fine.
Thanks

What is a good pair of somewhat inexpensive earbuds that work well with converting the SE headset?
