Yes, I fail to see how the "so helpfull" members did not say anything about this option (E398) which is exactly what you need. Either they all got carried away with the fact that you're a girl, or they are all subjective, and you should not listen to them.
It is strange that someone looking for advice from a SE fan forum should have SE products recommended. I just can't explain it ....

If you want a quick answer to that question, you are better off doing a search. Most of the people here are partial to Sony Ericsson and Nokia. There maybe only a handful of Motorola users here. You'll have to wait a while.

Buy k700 and an mp3 player for the rest of the money. Because imho no phone is good for serious mp3 play, and k700 seems like best phone for its price.

The motorola flip style phones are pretty popular here in the US. But they don't do anything for me.

Go For the Motorola E398 as the Mp3 quality is far superior then the k700i and it has a card support also.Morever it is cheap also.
Playin through speakers..YES!! Playin through the headphones...NOPE!! Another thing is memory cards dont exactly come free(specially not moto transflash ones)...buy a real mp3 player from that money. Besides usin the phone while the mp3 player runnin in the moto is somethin you can only dream of...its sooo damn slow. On the other hand k7 multitasks without any problems. E398 is def not a good buy, not even if the phone's primary functiom is mp3 playback n on the whole it has many more flaws like no video record, very slow, crappy moto ui, equally bad if not worse joystick, limited software support n stupid itap thing.
