I thought the camera sound of the K700 could be silenced by putting the phone in silent mode? At least with the latest firmware. This message was posted from a Nokia

Only for certain regions. Australia and some European countries and others around the place don't allow phone cameras to have a silent shutter. Therefore in these regioons the ability to use silent mode to disable the shutter sound is prevented in firmware.
