I tried this with both BES and BWC with both the T-Mobile Austria and Vodafone Germany versions of the SW and my P910 gets stuck right after I start provisioning at "You are currently establishing a connection to the Blackberry service" and eventually times out after a long time. Cingular tells me I have the Blackberry unlimited plan, that RIM has me in their system, and that I'm enabled for both BES & BWC. What's wrong? Oh, the other interesting thing is that if I set Autostart to "Disabled" and then start the provision, the status always changes to off from GPRS enabled. Not sure what that means. Any help is appreciated.

I'm having problems on Cingular as well. I have all the new software installed and even called Cingular. They said that the handset should register and than you log onto the web client site and key in the pin and IMEI. You don't need to register with Cingular as long as you have the Blackberry plan, which I do. That however still did not work.

I guess I'll be using my Nokia 6822 on blackberry until I can get the P910 going. It was so easy with the Nokia, I don't know why it's so hard with the SE?

Well well well... I have a Blackberry 7100v and have been using it instead of my P910i now for a while, because I like the push email functionality so much. Just now I managed to get Blackberry working on my P910i, and am overjoyed
Am going to be writing a walk-through for www.digital-lifestyles.info later, so will post a link here
Only took about 10 minutes to set it up, very happy

I have been able to successfully update my software to the 2.54 version and have it just fine. I will be modifying the install guide within a weeks time hopefully.

BigFeat, could you email me the new version? I am on 2.28 I think, and am interested in trying the new version. Otherwise, do you maybe have a download link for it?
Thanks,
Lawrence

Hi there!

I'm running the BB client on my P910 and I'm pretty happy with it. After upgrading to 2.54 I had some problems getting the service automatically restarted (settings in "Timed"), which used to work all the time, so I went back to 2.28 again...

In my company, we're running Notes and a Blackberry Enterprise server and Push Mail and Address look up are working perfectly well. But I can't check my calender, unless I manually sync'd it with the SE/Blackberry desktop app.
Is this the way it works, or did I miss anything?

I downloaded the Maxis 2.54 software and tried it, but I still see the same problem. The screen gets stuck at GPRS Enabled and bever gets past that point while provisioning. I've tried uninstalling all non-default SW in case there was some conflict. Any ideas?

I would say anything doing with GPRS connection issues would have to be account related. That is something you are going to have to resolve with your carrier.

As far as calendar sync you might simply have a corrupt entry in your calendar that might be hanging up the transfer. You migth want to get your carrier to reset your BB account and try re-registering again.

Hello,

I was wondering had anyone else noticed T-mobile's announcement about the Blackberry web service in the USA?

http://www.t-mobile.com/bisupgrade

Basically they are getting rid of the web element of the non corporate service and everything will be controlled direct from the handset or email account.

I wonder what, if any, effect this will have on my BB mail on my P910a? Has anyone else heard about this?

I've just got my T-Mobile UK blackberry account working with my P910, I had to set a username of blackberry and password to a space (blank password) within the APN properties before it would connect, otherwise I just got the logon failed message under GPRS status.

I've noticed people on Howards Forum's have similar problems, pass on the word; maybe it will help someone else!
