Hey Janptr, I am not a teacher but can help. It is indispensable, that is it's very important and not easy to go buy without.
Hope I helped.

The clock-screensaver program BigBen is now updated to version 1.10. Free for registered users, two-weeks trial for all. In this version the sound/visual alerts that keep you reminded on unattended calls and SMS are enhanced:
- Individual reminder types can be permanently en/disabled in Preferences.
- Unlocking by jog dial displays a menu where you can temporarily switch on/off reminders.
- Optional vibration on reminders.
See the docs for details at cellphonesoft.com

Quite remarkable Lisa@CPS! All this pandering to the requests of users wishes - well done!
(I'm not being sarcastic - I'll be taking a look at your program.)

I couldn't get your website http://cellphonesoft.com - is it down?

If only CPS could be involved developing "Smart Tennis" to work on a UIQ and not just a Pocket PC!

Lisa: Good work on the update. Here are some comments...

I'm glad to say that alerts are now working in flip open mode. Thanks for this.

I quite like the workaround for setting the alerts on/off via the jog dial - especially as this doesn't get in the way of the unlocking process. However, I would still like to be able to define 'no-alert' day/times so that these can be applied automatically at night, as I'll probably forget to turn them off manually every night. Please let me know if you think this will ever be added (I don't want to get my hopes up unnecessarily!).

Unlocking: In flip open mode, if you push the jog dial towards/away twice, you get a "Press * key to confirm" message. This isn't really relevant, as there's no * key available without the flip. Similarly (in flip-open mode) pressing the designated shortcut key displays a "Press OK to unlock" message, yet there is no OK key available. While neither of these messages are really problems, you may want to suppress them for the sake of tidiness!

Perhaps pressing the shortcut key twice should release the lock if there's no shortcut->OK availability.

Vibrate: this should be useful if in a noisy environment - thanks!

Strange using Maxthon so tried IE without success and Netscape says "the document contains no data".
Never come across anything like this before!!
Eventually having googled a bit I got this URL loaded:
http://invitel.hu/zolea/cps/bb.htm

Anyway I'm trying the program which I like. However I'd like to lower the volume of the Big Ben chime (and maybe even replace the existing one with a "cleaner" version) - is that possible?
e.g. if I can get at it what is the sound file called and what is the format?

I unistalled it cuz i have to unlock the phone twice cuz of it. Once to unlock the screensaver with the clock and then again to unlock the phone itself.Don't know why it happens but I have no time to waste, so the original one is good enuf!

Halo Lisa,

I think BigBen is a great program, for me the big clock screen saver is very importand because I can see the time whitout puting glases on.
But there is 1 thing that I don't like, in FC mode when I hit a button to see the time, the popup line whit the unlock message comes up in the middle of the screen, I think it is better it comes up at the top so you can see the time better.
