I don't see Samsung using that processor. Already they have postponed their dual-core, 1.5Ghz Galaxy SII LTE to Q2 next year. And then, as you also pointed, their in-house Exonys will probably be their next big thing.
LG are rubbish! I expect them to close shop soon. They should just concentrate on fridges, tv, microwaves and the like.

Samsung is using the Tegra2 at least in the Galaxy R, see e.g.
Anandtech., there was some talk that some SGS2 models for certain markets would use Tegra2 too. If you notice their recent announcements they are very careful about not telling the brand of the CPU (SoC). Perhaps Samsung has problems producing their Exonys in sufficient volumes ?
I suspect the delay of the LTE has more to do with the LTE radio itself (battery life ?) rather than the CPU.
But another interesting aspect is this: What role will TI's OMAP 44x0 line play for Samsung, since it's rumored that ICS will use that platform first ?

@mhyke
Thanks for that post above. I think the Play gets somewhat of a bad press - undeservedly. In actual usage it's quite a performer, great cam and sound.
The gaming just adds a whole new dimension and

has ensured it has been fully supported with now over 150 optimised games as well as the many on Market.
It's a pity it gets a negative press because if

decides to design and release a successor - which it is rumoured to be doing, we can look forward to something amazing coming our way.

Not just Bad Press, also the Launch Price was too High, Pricier than the Arc(SE Flagship)
So what would people think that Xplay can offer them with Mediocre Offerings on Multimedia(No 8MP Exmor R, No HD Recording, No Bravia Engine, No HDMI Port) Right?
They Just Offer a Physical Controller over Touch Screen, and it's no more than that, they didn't even bother to say that Play uses Dual DDR2 Channel which will differentiate Play more than Other Xperia's Out there, It can handle more Task and Play Games Smoother
People will Disagree that SE not Using Dual Core to Play Games Smoother and Faster, They don't have any idea what's Inside Xplay
but Now Xplay is Gaining some Momentum Specially after the Last Update .368 which really boost all Xperia Phones Right now and 2.3.4 is just around the corner and More Optimised Games will be Available including the Playstation Suite is about to open This Quarter

The question is what is this new phone going to be named. Xperia Arc duo?
I quite like the unique arched back and wouldn't mind a line of Xperia arcs. They coud be the flagship of the company.
Hmmm... I just thought of an Xperia arc quad.
On second thought, that just sounds all odd. Maybe just arc followed by the number, they won't sound like Samsung anymore since Samsung has changed its naming system.

I cannot read Chinese but I see the 32GB of memory is still there. SE is known for skimping on memory but if that is true on the huge memory then this is going to be an interesting SE device.
I just wish they went with a 16mp camera seeing that quite a few phones will be running on that same hardware, some possibly even better. Sticking a 16mp camera in there would've differentiated them a little bit better imo.
I can read Chinese
The CPU is Qualcomm 8260a (28nm/ Krait ) 1.5GHz,Adreno 225 GPU

@eurisko
Oh thanks!
could you please check the validity of the source? how much we can relay on it?
If it has Krait architecture I think it can compete with others...
