I'm not sure about this but isn't the K standing for a keyboard?

I read somewhere that this is that el cheapo that Bert was talking about earlier this year- less than a £100.

My comment wasn't aimed at you. I was merely pre-empting the nay-sayers and forwarding my analysis. I can see your point about the publicity being on the whole negative, I'm sure they wanted to keep their mouths shut on the issue but someone slipped. I'm also certain that person who slipped has had a serious telling off in the last few days.

As for what se_dude has pointed out, this is also a possibility that Google have had a quick word with someone at SE to keep schtum.

Either way, what's said is said we just have to wait and see if the story unfolds further.

Sorry for misunderstanding your post there mate.

You sre right though that all we have to do now is wait and see.

Like you also wrote, let's wait and see what transpires over the next few months.

I still stand by what I wrote with regard to SE's handling of the matter. They had a chance to turn this to their advantage.

By the way, aurelius, your last post reads like an angry post. Why (if you are) are you angry?

I know what you are saying. I know I am hard on SE but that is because I want them to be the best which is what they were before losing their way.

I have been waiting for three years to buy an SE phone again, the last SE I bought was the P1i, and the arc was just right but I wasn't convinced that they will be able to survive so I held back. If they show that they will survive this year and Q1 next year then I am definitely getting an SE phone.

I love this brand, that is why I am so harsh on it. I don't care what happens to any other manufacturer hence I don't comment much on them but I get extremely harsh on SE.

Have a great weekend yourself.

SE will definitely have ICS quicker than most other manufacturers (official decision or not), quick updates is one of their major goals on Android handsets. That's the reason they have similar hardware right from Arc down to the Minis and why they (relatively) decoupled Timescape / Mediascape.

I'd be really surprised if SE didn't keep the 2011 Xperias updated with Ice Cream. The wouldn't want to have another X10 series debacle on their hands..

@smclion102 That looks seriously cool. Is that just a normal Arc (not an Arc S)? and does it need a special update to run the mic like that?
