> The All New Sony Ericsson Portfolio for 2011
Bookmark topic
You guys need to relax, there will not be an end to the joint-venture. The Nozomi is scheduled for next year as a Sony Ericsson and not Sony or even Ericsson.
Such decisions are not just taken out of the blue, extensive negotiations take place beforehand. Also, the rumour that suggests that SE will have their biggest portfolio next year again suggests they are in this for the long haul.
SE is still around unless their financial situation takes a turn for the worse.
I also don't see Ericsson making it on their own, not that they would entertain such a thought as the cellphone market for them is a small package of the business and they still make a sizeable amount of money from patents. Either side is doomed should the venture end. As much as I would love to see and use an Ericsson phone but they will not come back alone.
This joint-venture still has the potential to be successful and they are not doing that bad as compared to previous years, particularly after 2006, so they are still in with a chance.
I just hope they don't make any more losses from now on. I am still waiting to buy me a Sony Ericsson Android monster. Hopefully next year is that year.

and Sony are totally different and independent from each other. Its not a case that Sony is holding

back and at the same time, its not like

can just call up Sony and ask for anything. There is a certain degree of overlap but Sony engineers make Sony products,

people do their own thing. It seems that Sony have been more than generous by 'giving' them PlayStation, Bravia and Exmor while

have made their mind up on their base i.e. processor, OS etc. so expecting

to have a phone that is just like the latest Walkman is unrealistic. If people want that then let Sony kill off

and do it their own way. Another thing to remember is that if

comes out with a high end CyberShot with all the best Sony tech, the phone better be damn good to make Sony look good so its understandable if they refuse to put their stuff into 'old, outdated' phones. Not a fan of

anymore but Sony never disappoints me.
Speaking in general terms, phones have promised to replace mp3/4 players, digital cameras and gaming devices but that's way off. I still use my camera for important events and my Walkman serves me on a daily basis. I don't see it changing anytime soon either because you get faster processors each year but no real improvement in music or camera. I haven't seen true innovation or progress in a while now.
I tried the HTC Beats out and its all hype. The headphones do the biz but just tweaking my Desire with software and a decent set of headphones makes it similar, still nothing compared to my Walkman. There is going to be a new megapixel race happening, a few different competitors at the moment. Apart from new processors its the same shit from everyone, even the designs are the same.

As I expect to read from you, its kind of no surprises, the latter one is same as my feeling with recent HTC line-up but most of my friend like 'em even it very old and recycle design maybe unibody aluminum case.
Long time no see, how thing going badassmam?
Same as me, I'm now happy Apple user but still have little room for

when come to product design

I doing great, thanks for asking.
I'm a sucker for

design as well and I've been through many of them with 90% satisfaction. Nowadays, I set my HTC Desire as the benchmark, its old now but solid and reliable so unless I see something that is significantly better, I won't change.

make lovely phones but its not that much better that what I have now. Even the Galaxy S2 and Sensation don't impress me because for all that power, you don't see that much of an improvement. The HTC Beats caught my eye because of its potential but I wasn't really impressed. Get onto the Android market and get the Audio FX Widget, that's your HTC Beats for free.
Anyway, the

dual core will be overshadowed by some more powerful phones at the next MWC. It isn't such a bad thing but a quick release of optimised hardware would be most welcome. Quad and Dual core won't give you much difference so *if the

has a top camera module, it'll be fine. The main camera competition is from Nokia but their priorities are different and they're handicapping their phones with Windows. HTC and Moto aren't anything special for camera. The new Nexus which is expected before MWC, will have the same flavour as most upcoming devices. Samsung, HTC and Apple are announcing soon,

also have something for their anniversary which should be something good.

something extremely cool would be a T68 anniversary edition - in the vein of the sony ericsson pureness
or a P800 anniversary with android (but UIQ style interface)
bring them on

I really believe

s best interest is being integrated into Sony's ecosystem.
The Sony tablet - they market as all they ever do in one device - Bravia, Walkman, Movies etc and I can only see the line between

phones and Sony tablets becoming more blurred.

is a fantastic company but on the high-street, it's virtually unknown to the regular consumer as a stand alone brand.

What do you think about recently HD screen resolution has been announced earlier this month, next trend after megapixels and cpu clock race? it have few months before MWC but I feel it going to be big on this year.
I'm not much impressed about htc collaboration with beats, it just software tuning things with anyway quality headphone could delivered it job. My expectation is higher for some hardware
Well, for

at least they still have something nice in the bags, I only hope that it won't late in market.
Any info about htc sensation utilize st-ericsson hardware from your side?
I really curious about performance this one

but not expect to challenge with S2 the monster.

I think the performance should be pretty similar. Both use 45nm, both are arm cortex a9, both have MALI Gpu
Imo on paper its a much better choice than Qualcomms s2 of whatever is inside "our" sensation
