That is the GPRS status icon. In order to shut it off (recommended for extending battery life, you can go under the Internet accounts.
(Since I do not own a W950, I will mention what one can do on the P990) and
Once in the internet accounts, from the menu choose options, and set the preferred mode to CS only. Yours should be set to Automatic.

ok thanks, i've tried that and changing it to 'cs' from 'automatic' means the blue triangle changes to a white triangle. i seem to remember on my old 750i that i was able to get rid of the triangle altogether and it only came on when i connected to the web etc.
any more ideas out there?

hi i have a w950 and tomtom installed
it works fine for me,haven't had a problem yet apart from you need to end all other running programmes first or it might not start.
once tomtom is running screen saver or powersaving wont kick in so my advice to you if your using it it your car is to use a car charger.
the tomtom software will only work on your phone if you purchase the dvd version,it is the only tomtom product that has the uiq3 version on it.
don't bother getting it from tomtom theirselves i waited for 3 weeks and it still hadn't arrived so cancelled my order and got it from an online seller, and it arrived the following day. i also use the tomtom bluetooth gps reciever mk2 which works well and has a great battery life.
hope this helps
Bought my copy of TomTom Navigator 6 from Mobilefun.co.uk and it came with the trafic cameras included for free plus a 1 month trial of Traffic reports well worth it

Are you all generally happy with this phone?
I was very happy with the phone apart from very poor visiblity in sunlight, until the touch screen died after less than a month! I am now in the process of sorting out a repair and I am more than bit P****d off!

that triangle will be there no matter what. The same happens in most of the phones. Kind of standard feature. But being white, it means the GPRS is off for the moment. But I agree, sometimes, very few times, don't know under what circumstances, the triangle just goes away.
